Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Hours Monday to friday 8:30-4:30
bank holidays off!!
Goods inwards:
Check delivery note against goods received and the order
Inspection of product, packaging, labels etc.
Sampling of all raw materials and comparison to previous retain sample
Applying passed labels on products that are fit for use
Due diligence testing (micro, illegal dyes, etc) based on the Testing Schedule
Maintain inspection records and store samples
Document receipt on Goods intake spreadsheet
Enter stock into Sage inventory soft
Report damages to suppliers and arrange replacements or credit (NC Log)
Production:
Prepare bags/pots and labels for samples based on item-specific requirements
Perform any required ATP or Allergen swabbing prior to start up and maintain records
Identify any food safety issues to be addressed prior to start-up.
Carry out Q.C. checks at start of each batch - organoleptic, metal detector, labels, paperwork
Take Q.C. samples as required
Document checks on works order
Finished goods/despatch:
Send Q.C. paperwork and/or samples to customer
Initiate and complete COA or COC where required, email to intended recipient
Review production batch sheets to confirm correct materials used
Review production works orders before final QA signoff
Store and maintain finished goods product samples
Other:
QC labwork - Salt titrations, moisture analysis, bulk density analysis
Monitor QC lab supplies, swabs, all QC related consumables
Perform all necessary quarantine activities and maintain Quarantine records (NC Log)
Perform environmental swabbing and water sampling
Arrange collection of micro samples
Review micro and other testing results and log (on Testing Schedule)
Maintain our Supplier Approval database and Approved Raw Material database (doc.043)
Record any product shelf life extensions (NC Log)
Daily Canteen refrigerator temperature check
Monthly glass audit and GMP inspection
Review formulas and perform initial CCP check for labels before issuing paperwork to production
Perform pH meter and thermometer calibrations as required.
Attend daily morning meetings and report goods in from previous day and any other relevant information.
Assist in assuring food safety within the Manufacturing and Warehouse Areas.
Assist with implementation and maintenance of quality and process instructions and procedures controlling product manufacture, safety and quality.
Assist with staff induction and training, and ensure that existing trained staff who are responsible for working with new staff members, only carry out training in accordance with designated procedures.
Assist with internal audits, preventive and corrective actions, resolving quality issues and any other matters relating to the quality management system.
Assist the H.A.C.C.P. Team in implementation and maintenance of the Company H.A.C.C.P. system
