8 month contract
GBP29.25 per hour LTD
Advantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a global manufacturing company who operate within the Defence industry. They are currently seeking a Technical Author to join their facility in the Preston, Lancashire area on an initial 8 month contract basis.
The Technical Author will originate and maintain On-Aircraft Maintenance Publications for the aircraft. They will be responsible for the preparation of initial publications and subsequent amendments of the maintenance publications in accordance with departmental procedures. Assess and incorporate internal and external customer requests.
The successful candidate will have proven IT skills, in particular be conversant with the use of Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Technical Publications specification ASD S1000D is essential. Experience of modern electronic production tool-sets and Standard Generalised Mark-Up Language (SGML) or Extensible Markup Language (XML). The successful applicant will ideally also be proficient at verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively research source data.
