Chase and Holland are working closely with an award winning and well known manufacturing business in Hull to recruit a proactive Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join their busy finance team. This position will see you being responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger team as well as developing controls, processes and driving continuous improvement. The main areas of responsibility include:

Reviewing and developing AP procedures
Developing and documenting processes, controls, systems and procedures
Proactively managing a small Purchase Ledger team, including managing tasks & workflow, recruiting, mentoring, appraisals and procedures
Validation and export of invoices into Finance system
Deal with supplier letters, emails, calls and resolve any queries
Review supplier account reconciliations
Month end close down and procedures including accruals and prepayments
Maintain supplier database with accurate data
Review and authorise payments as prepared
Assist with invoice processing & queries as needed

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years Accounts Payable experience in a fast-paced, high volume environment and be AAT Qualified or equivalent. You will be IT Literate including word and excel and have experience of electronic invoice scanning systems . The Purchase Ledger Team Leader must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of managing a purchase ledger function, but the main criteria are strong people management skills and a proactive approach to change management.
