Kelly Services are pleased to be working with our global client who are looking to recruit a highly experienced Purchase manager. The role involves looking at supply, capacity, materials, allocation, price negotiations and new contract negotiations. Ability to time manage effectively and to set expectations to Senior management is essential. Due to the technical nature of the products being produced by are client technical knowledge, understanding of parts and a background in an industry really is a must.
Key Responsibilities:

- Analyses complex sourcing and purchasing processes in support of the delivery of cost effective and high-quality goods and services.
- Identifies qualified suppliers and execute sound selection processes.
- Maintains good working supplier relationship and understands how key purchasing principles are used toward assuring supply.
- Presents to senior purchasing/sourcing leaders with recommendations of improvement opportunities and courses of action.
- Ensures procedures and processes are followed and support is provided regarding price bench marking, vendor management, market & process analysis, and model building.
- Full understanding of compliance and is aware to situations that can pose risk to the business.

- Uses a variety of analytical tools and processes (e.g. Six Sigma) Develop systems, processes and have a understanding of how to develop systems and process.
- Fully engage stakeholders to define the business, technical and qualitative requirements and accommodate differences in competencies and expectations so supplier's responses may be evaluated objectively.

Qualification Required

- College, university, or equivalent degree in supply chain management or a related subject required.
- Intermediate level of related work experience required (e.g., three years' prior experience).
- Able to use advanced MS Excel functionality.
