Software Programmer/Trainee Software Programmer

A world leader in the Smart Home Technology sector, design and install systems in some of the most prestigious Super Yachts and Homes in the world and are looking for a software programmer for their integration systems.
Skills requirements
* Good level of programming experience in C++ and multithreading.
* Crestron programming knowledge a distinct advantage but training given
* Knowledge of computer communication and connectivity - e.g. RS232, peripherals etc.
* Good understanding of Ethernet networks and protocols when used with programming.
* Experience using Wireshark for protocol analysis and troubleshooting desirable.
* Knowledge of Graphics and web development will be an advantage including Apache, PHP, JavaScript, and GIMP.
* Experience in a GNU/Linux operating system would also be an advantage.
* Some experience in programming Audio-Visual systems using Crestron or AMX systems. If no experience in AV, initial training will be given but the candidate ideally needs to be strong in other areas.
* Able to adapt to a continuously evolving workflow.

* Self-starter with a passion for technology.
* High customer service ethic.
* Team player who can work on their own initiative while achieving customer and company deadlines.
* Enjoys traveling and a challenging environment.
* Would be happy to work away from home for periods if required with no particular ties
Requirements
* Full UK driving licence
* Current Passport valid for at least 1 year
* Permission to work and remain in the UK
We are looking for a team player who will be able to lead in their specialist subjects and enjoy working in a dynamic and stimulating environment. This will involve international travel, primarily in Europe but can be anywhere in the World. This can often be for a couple of weeks at a time
Ideally your location would be within a 20/30 miles radius of Letchworth Garden City. Salary will depend on experience
