Chase and Holland are excited to be working closely with a growing firm based in Sheffield. They are looking for HR Senior Officer, this is for a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Being the central point of contact on UK and ANZ HR matters and to ensure compliancy with both local and global policies and procedures
Handling all aspects of recruitment: guide and advise managers, coordinate and take part in selection processes and interviews, work on offers and negotiations for roles, build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies
Managing employee relations cases such as disciplinary matters, grievances, absence and redundancy
Providing support and coaching to managers in areas such as performance management, reward, absence management and conflict handling
Coordinating and advising on learning and development requests
Maintaining accurate employee records in the relevant HR systems
Managing the HR budget for employee related activities such as the health and wellness programme and employee benefits
Collate and provide monthly payroll information for the Finance team
Contributing to improving and professionalising the European HR function
Assisting the Human Resources Director in strategic projects
Contribute to UK management meetings
Preferred Skills and Experience
CIPD qualified or working towards/equivalent experience
Proven experience in a generalist HR role
Ability to build strong relationships with managers and leaders
Ability to work to deadlines with a high level of accuracy
Professional and discreet with excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work autonomously
Up to date knowledge of UK employment law
A basic knowledge of Australian employment law is desirable but not essential
