Support Worker
Affinity Trust support adults with a range of learning disabilities, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to provide outstanding care to the people we support!
We currently have opportunities for support workers to join our team in Hailsham, Sussex, working with people in their own home and supporting with all aspects of their daily lives, including social opportunities, shopping, meal preparation, personal care and attending appointments.
Position: Support Worker
Location: Hailsham, Sussex (Commutable from Eastbourne, Bexhill, Lewes, Uckfield and surrounding areas)
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Up to 37.5 per week
Salary: GBP7.95 per hour

About the role:
We need dedicated Support Workers to work with adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs. This is also a great opportunity for carers (HCAs) looking to work in a different setting.
Support work offers you the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities, living the life they want and empowering people to reach their desired goals.
The people you will be supporting enjoy a variety of activities as well as trying new opportunities, so if you have an interest or hobby you can bring to this role, you can really offer someone the chance to try something new.
About you:
We are looking for motivated and active people to join the team who enjoy getting out and about, and believe that if you have the right values and genuine desire to want to support people to live life to the full then we can offer you the training and support to make this your new career.
You will need to work flexibly and participate in shift work, including weekends and bank holidays. You may also be required to undertake some sleep in shifts as part of your rota for which we pay an additional amount per sleep in.
Whilst being a driver is not essential for role you will need to be able to get to and from Hailsham for shifts, as part of a flexible working rota.
This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check which will be provided by Affinity Trust.
