Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer job in Corby. Shifts: 4 on, 4 off - DAYS
Your new company
This established, local business has recently been bought by a larger multi-national business which is leading to major investment and has created extensive new business. They have still managed to retain their 'family-run' feel making it a welcoming, team based environment where everybody supports each other. They are currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team due to the increased workload.
Your new role
You will be responsible for PPM and reactive maintenance across the factory both electrical and mechanical. You'll fault find on a range of equipment including PLCs, rollers, chains, motors and packing machinery. You will also be working some pneumatic equipment. The job will involve you thinking on your feet to find suitable solutions, ensuring production is as unaffected as possible. This may meant working on temporary fixes until a permanent solution can be implemented.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Maintenance Engineer from a manufacturing environment. Ideally, you will have an apprenticeship but you must have relevant maintenance engineering qualifications. You are willing to learn and develop your skills further and you will be looking for a challenge. You will be able to work on your own initiative and make decisions for the good of the business, ensuring, where possible, that downtime is kept to a minimum.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a starting salary of GBP30k which will increase to GBP32k after 3 months service and GBP35k after 6 months service. You will be required to work day shifts on a 4 on, 4 off basis. You will receive 33 days holiday and be able to enrol in the pension scheme.
