Field Service Engineer job. Home based, covering the Southern half of the UK.

Your new role
You will support customers with the installation, calibration, maintenance and repair, of equipment and/or software remotely or onsite. Your main duties will include:

* Troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and service repair needs on designated equipment.
* Electronic/Mechanical: Total system level trouble-shooting on complex multi-symptom problems
* Conduct either remote (phone, net viewer) or on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic support to customers.
* Customer satisfaction: Daily interface with customers on equipment status issues. Acts to ensure satisfaction to customers, Strong Customer skills
* Take full responsibility for Service Requests from start to finish including Ordering and managing repair parts cycle
* Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records and systems in a timely manner
* Assists in Account Sales visits; helps train others where necessary; identify Sales opportunities and communicate to sales team
* Oversee and maintain parts inventory in order to meet service and repair schedule/demand.
* Maintain excellent and accurate communications with the appropriate staff.
* Maintain quality logs and records as required by the Quality Management System.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Field Service Engineer with a relevant degree or engineering qualification. You are both electrically and mechanically and can demonstrate previous work experience in both sectors.You have the ability to work independently with minimum direction to high work standards and quality. You can plan and organise your work effectively to ensure customers are prioritised. Your ability to communicate well with people from all levels of business will be a key part of your success and you must be detail oriented and have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a certain degree of creativity and latitude. This is a field based role so you must be able to travel and hold a valid UK driving license.
