Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer job in Wellingborough. 4/4 rotating days and nights.

Your new role

You will report into the Engineering Supervisor, maintaining the operation of production and premises of the factory, for both mechanical and electrical systems. You will also provide technical support to the engineering and production departments, maximising production equipment up time and efficiency as measured through KPI's. Your main duties will include:

* Maintaining a plant maintenance system

* Ensuring that all delegated electrical/mechanical maintenance is performed with full regard to product safety, quality and employee Health and Safety

* Implementing programs for continual process quality improvement

* Attending to all documentation relevant to the plant maintenance system and Quality Department requirements

* Attend to all requirements of the production personnel within the factory

* Liaising with other Engineers and Factory Leadership to schedule work

* Liaising with contractors when necessary

* Purchasing essential spares and equipment at the best possible price

* Maintaining the job card system in conjunction with Engineering Supervisor

* Maintaining the cleanliness of the workshop to conform to the Quality standard of the company

* Adhere to the toolbox guideline procedure

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer with electrical bias and a a formal electrical qualification. You can demonstrate good organisational, time management and communication skills. You have a creative problem solving and continuous improvement mind-set along with a strong ability to fault diagnose with clear understanding of Root Cause Analysis. You are self-motivated, methodical and able to work on your own initiative. You are used to being highly accurate, and you can work to a high standard with good attention to detail. Your swift and methodical approach in your faulting skills whilst reacting to production requirements will be essential.
