Materials Manager

SF Group are working on behalf of a leading manufacturing business in Birmingham in their search for a permanent Warehouse Manager. The role is paying up to GBP35,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be responsible for both the factory floor and warehouse facility based across 2 sites. This is a days only shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal planning teams
• Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods
• Keep stock control systems up to date (KANBAN/5s) and make sure inventories are accurate
• Plan future capacity requirements regards space/volumes
• Responsible for replenishment of stock on production lines
• Responsible for the control of internal and external packaging
• Monitoring staff performance and progress using KPI's
• Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment

Skills & Experience:

• Proven work experience as a warehouse manager within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
• Expertise in modern warehouse management procedures and best practices
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implementing such KPI's
• Leadership skills and ability manage and develop staff
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
