Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Duration: Permanent/ 39 hours per week
Rate/Salary: GBPNegotiable
Our client is a leader in high-performance RF, microwave & microelectronic solutions, the company designs, develops and manufactures one of the world's largest selections of RF, microwave and millimeter wave components and systems for use in commercial, defence, and space applications. The company offers both US and Europe-based design and manufacturing options.
Overview:
To provide financial support to the business as directed by the Finance Manager. To ensure the integrity of financial data, reporting and analysis; focussed particularly on manufacturing processes, inventory and the product portfolio.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
1Organise physical inventory and cycle counts.
2Investigate Cycle counting variances and resolve issues.
3Monitor & analyse timesheet data submitted by respective departments, and maintain Engineering Work Orders.
4Assist with product costing analysis and the identification of non-production material costs.
5Monitoring of miscellaneous costs, invoice authorisations and queries, & ensuring correct attribution of project and IR&D costs.
6Month-end support including running of inventory reports, and periodic cover for Accounts Payable processing and queries.
7To provide financial support for Strategic plans, Budgets and Forecasts as necessary.
8Continuous Improvement To contribute to formal and informal processes to improve the business and its performance.
Competencies:
1Studying for recognised accounting qualification, including AAT or equivalent
2Good communication skills both written and oral
3Good knowledge of Excel and ability to manipulate large amounts of data
4Ability to plan one's own workload, and to meet deadlines
5Good attention to detail, and attitude to accuracy and completeness
6Able to work and contribute as part of a team
