Quality Controller

Blues Skies UK Ltd are an established business based at Heathrow Airport, that has been trading since 1997, and that specialises in the importing of Fresh Fruit in to the UK from several destinations worldwide.

The fruit is then processed at our state of the art processing plant in Northamptonshire, and is prepared for sale in to major and local retailers throughout the UK.

To ensure that the fruit is of the highest quality and at its freshest we need to ensure that the controls in place at the point of import are rigorously checked and maintained.

To do this we have a small team that carries out these checks and updates the necessary paperwork ensuring that there is a clear audit trail available at all times.

Due to an increase in workload we are looking to add to our team an extra person who can support this procedure, and assist the team of Quality Controllers already in place.

The position is Part-Time, working 4 hours a day, 6 days a week with one day off which we can rotate.

The preferred hours are 6pm to 10pm per day. There may be room for some flexibility with these hours.

Our preferred person will have an excellent eye for detail, be able to work unsupervised after a period of training, be a positive communicator, and have good computer skills mainly Word & Excel. You don't need to have worked in Food Processing before, however previous experience in quality control and checking is a requirement.
