LOCATION: You will be driving to customer sites in the Slough and surrounding areas, so you must live in this area.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our maintenance team working on client sites to carry out routine preventive maintenance (PM) on door entry and access control systems.
As a Preventive Maintenance Technician your duties and responsibilities will include:
* Carry out routine preventive maintenance (PM) on door entry and access control systems
* Diagnose and repair or replace faulty or defective parts of equipment
* Keep proper record of work activities, including all procurement and maintenance costs
* Submit reports and inspections via PDA / tablet
* Regular communication with the clients and office staff

Essential Experience and Skills of the Preventive Maintenance Technician:
* Must have a basic electrical and/or electronic knowledge and understanding of electrical systems
* Genuine interest in learning about new products, both NACD and third-party lines
* Professionalism and pride in your work
* Logical thinking and methodical approach
* Reliability and honesty
* Good interpersonal skills, with both clients and colleagues
* Hard working and keen to progress within the Company based on your efforts
* Must hold a full UK driving license and be prepared to drive around the London area
* Applicants must be over 21 to allow them to drive a company vehicle
* Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30 am -5.30 pm with 1 hour for lunch
Working for NACD as a Preventive Maintenance Technician:
* Overtime is available when required
* No Standby or Callout requirement
* Training supplied on all maintained equipment
* 21 days holiday per year, rising to 25
* Job progression to a Service Engineer with experience
