Customer Services Team Leader (Financial Services)

We now have a fantastic opportunity for positive, outgoing and enthusiastic individuals to become a Team Leader in our Client Services Department. As a Team Leader, you will work alongside the Client Services Manager, leading a team of 8-10 people, ensuring that our customers receive a first class service from AJ Bell.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervising team workflow, allocating resources and co-ordinating the workload
- Actively coaching, mentoring and developing your team, providing regular feedback through 1-2-1s and performance reviews
- Being the first point of contact for service issues or complaints
- Maintaining work records and providing regular reports to management
- Answering client/adviser queries and completing customer administration as required
- Ensuring the team’s output meets compliance and regulatory requirements
Key experience, knowledge and skills needed for this role:
- Proven experience and strong knowledge of investment platforms (SIPP, ISA, JISA, funds and shares) in UK financial services
- Current or previous experience of leading a team preferred, but not essential
- Excellent customer service skills
- Drive, energy and a positive “can do” attitude
- Confident dealing with a broad range of people including staff and customers
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Effective planning, organisation and time management skills
- Good IT skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Minimum 5 GCSEs grades A-C (or equivalent), including Maths and English
- Industry qualifications (e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate) are desirable but not a deal-breaker for us. Your investment platform work experience is key to this role.
