Customer Services Team Leader (Financial Services)

We now have a fantastic opportunity for positive, outgoing and enthusiastic individuals to become a Team Leader in our Client Services Department.  As a Team Leader, you will work alongside the Client Services Manager, leading a team of 8-10 people, ensuring that our customers receive a first class service from AJ Bell.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supervising team workflow, allocating resources and co-ordinating the workload
  • Actively coaching, mentoring and developing your team, providing regular feedback through 1-2-1s and performance reviews
  • Being the first point of contact for service issues or complaints
  • Maintaining work records and providing regular reports to management
  • Answering client/adviser queries and completing customer administration as required
  • Ensuring the team’s output meets compliance and regulatory requirements

Key experience, knowledge and skills needed for this role:

  • Proven experience and strong knowledge of investment platforms (SIPP, ISA, JISA, funds and shares) in UK financial services
  • Current or previous experience of leading a team preferred, but not essential
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Drive, energy and a positive “can do” attitude
  • Confident dealing with a broad range of people including staff and customers
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Effective planning, organisation and time management skills
  • Good IT skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs grades A-C (or equivalent), including Maths and English
  • Industry qualifications (e.g. CISI Investment Operations Certificate) are desirable but not a deal-breaker for us.  Your investment platform work experience is key to this role.
