Community Buildings Advisor

18 hours per week.  £22,000 pa pro rata (actual £11,314 per annum) plus 5% pension.  Based in Burpham, Guildford. This post is a permanent contract.

Surrey Community Action are seeking a proactive individual to be based at our Astolat office in Burpham, Guildford.  You will be tasked to provide an effective desktop-based information and advisory service to community buildings across Surrey.

You will initiate, encourage and support sustainable development of community buildings in meeting the needs of local communities, and promote effective communication between statutory bodies and the relevant voluntary organisations.           

In addition, you will advise, signpost and support community buildings with funding bids and applications.                                                       

You will have a good working knowledge of voluntary sector governance and community buildings in particular. You will have experience with community engagement and working with Local Authorities. Above all, you will be an excellent administrator who is well organised, able to balance multiple priorities and be someone who is good with managing databases and using social media.

Above all, this is a role for an enthusiastic person with a passion for community, who is good with people.
