Accounts Assistant
The Pektron Group is seeking an Accounts Assistant to work primarily for our sister company Morgan Industrial Property. Whilst the position is primarily property accounts the successful candidate will be required to take on other accounting duties within other companies in the Group.
The role will be based at the Pektron site in Derby (DE21 4AP)
About you:
You will be an experienced Accounts Assistant who has worked in the commercial / industrial property sector. You will be confident dealing with Suppliers, Solicitors, Utility companies, local councils, Surveyors etc. You will have a good working knowledge of the Re-Lease Property Management System and Xero Accounting System. Basic understanding of Sage 50 and Excel would be an advantage.
Essential skills and experience:
Small / medium property portfolio accounting
Processing sales invoices relating to rent, service charges, late payment interest etc
Processing sales / income receipts and allocating ledgers
Processing purchase invoices and subsequent payment
Credit control - chasing via telephone, email, and letter
Bank reconciliation
Month and year end nominal journal posting to trial balance
Service and utility recharge transactions and reconciliations
Preferred experience / knowledge:
Property lease arrangements
Zero rated and exempt property rules
Option to tax rules
Recording and analysing project costs (actual v budget)
