Business Development Manager
Business Development Manager | Main Contractor | South East London
I am looking for a driven Business Development Manager to work for an established and growing main contractor who operate within the social housing sector and are experts in delivering major works and planned/responsive/cyclical maintenance.
The successful Business Development Manager will based out of my clients office located in South East London and will be reporting to the Head of New Business. In a nutshell, as Business Development Manager you will be responsible for winning new business and developing productive, profitable relationships and tender opportunities.
Previous experience in a Business Development Manager role would be advantageous, however it is not essential as top class, one to one training and mentoring will be provided by an experienced individual who has worked this role for over 10 years.
Key responsibilities for this Business Development Manager position:
The responsibilities for this Business Development Manager position may include but will not be limited to:
* Creating new business within the Social Housing Sector.
* Responsible for prospecting and converting clients into long term repeat customers and maintaining existing client pipelines.
* Delivering sales targets within region and margin.
* Pitching to potential clients and consultants through direct communication, in face to face meetings, telephone calls and e-mails.
* Liaison with Clients, Technical and Operational teams, ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Maintain databases/electronic files.
* Assist in the creation of client proposals and any subsequent documentation.
Requirements for this Business Development Manager position:
* Must have had exposure to the social housing sector, ideally with exposure to maintenance projects.
* Bright, sharp and ambitious.
* Natural gravitas to engage with and influence senior executives both internally and externally.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with evidence of building long term relationships and ongoing nurturing of clients.
* Must be target and deadline driven with proven experience of delivery within given time frames.
* Exceptional relationship management and networking abilities coupled with a genuine passion for the social housing sector.
Remuneration for this Business Development Manager position:
* GBP40,000 per annum
* GBP5,000 car allowance
* Bonus scheme
* Exceptional training and support
