We are delighted to be representing a reputable and well established manufacturing client in their search for an Operational Financial Controller for their UK operations based near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Working closely with the operational leaders of the business including other senior finance leaders, the duties of this role are varied and include, but are not limited to the following areas:
?? Provide the quality and relevance of reporting to drive the performance of the UK business,
?? Ensure strong internal controls exist throughout the business, functions to deliver compliance with internal and external audit requirements, EMEA Group principles, GAAPS and IFRS standards.
?? Deliver the standard costing and manufacturing management reporting for the UK.
?? Responsible for controlling high quality, accurate, compliant and timely financial reporting to EMEA group deadlines
?? Co-ownership of the annual budget process and periodic forecasting processes
?? Analysis of operational performance and communication of trends to facilitate continuous improvement Provide clear meaningful information to guide management decision-making
Suitable candidates must have the following experience and knowledge:
?? CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified
?? Minimum of 7 years' experience in a financial management role within a manufacturing environment
?? Experience of AS400 and / or Dynamics AX would be a distinct advantage
?? Strong experience in standard cost accounting and variance analysis
?? Strong track record in reporting and management accounting and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
?? Excellent analytical skills:
?? Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
?? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
?? Ability to coach and guide others without direct line authority
?? Sound computer proficiency and comfortable working with reporting and consolidation packages (e.g. Cognos, TM1,) & excellent Excel skills
