This post represents an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s Estates and Development Directorate.  The Directorate is responsible for all types of services across the University including residential and commercial activity.

The Events & Conferencing Team at Keele Hall require a full time Events & Conferencing Executive. This role will contribute to the professionalism and profitability of the Estates and Development Directorate through the efficient organising of all Keele Conferences and Events activity.  Whilst at the same time securing repeat sales and gaining add on sales through the employment of upselling skills/techniques. The role covers the organisation of university client events/conferences and special events activity plus supporting the commercial event activity when required.

Educated to A level standard, or possessing equivalent qualifications or experience is essential as is having previous experience of event management in the service industry and working within a commercial sales team environment. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and customer care skills along with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be able to set priorities and goals using organisation and problem solving skills whilst being able to use own initiative when required. Previous experience of project and budget management would be advantageous however training will be provided. You must be efficient in the use of Microsoft and Google Packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint within a professional environment.

Hours of work are 36.25 per week over a 7 day working pattern. The core working hours are between 8.45am-5.00pm Monday to Friday, however evening and weekend work is required at times due to the nature of the business.
