This is a full time, permanent position.
Our client, a UK distributor is recruiting a Graduate Product Assistant Manager to join their growing team based in High Wycombe. They are looking for drive, determination and ability to work logically and professionally at all times. Your role will be to provide various lines of support to the Branch Product Managers and Sales by assisting with price quotes, entering orders and ship and debits and expediting orders.
Duties of the role will include:
* Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of booking reports by reviewing data and orders daily
* Researching and obtaining pricing on all non-inventory items by contacting the Rep Firm or Manufacturer and communicating the information pack to the Product Manager or sales person
* Providing back-up to the Branch Product Manager and Customer Service by answering customer inquiries, returning telephone calls and researching and preparing orders and quotes
* Preparing and entering quotes to send to reps and suppliers for delivery and special pricing
* Completing sales orders by entering ship and debit information and required data in computer system in a timely manner
* Reviewing and resolving ship and debit rejects, renewing expiring ship and debits as needed
* Participating in the Total Quality Process by following established policies and procedures
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including very good presentation skills
* Strong problem solving and organisational skills
* Well organised and able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
* Able to compute rate, ratios and percentages
* Ability to work in teams, with minimum supervision and to make responsible decisions
* Working knowledge of product lines and services and company policies, procedures and computer systems
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to use the computer system proficiently
* Experience in customer service / electronics industry preferable
* High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
