MECHANICAL ENGINEER, OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE
Permanent - Glenrothes
Due to plant expansion and colleague progression, we have a fantastic opportunity for a flexible, highly motivated and pro-active Mechanical Engineer to join us at our Biomass plant in Markinch, Scotland. Working as part of the Operations and Maintenance team, you will provide mechanical engineering support in order to deliver the challenging operational, technical and commercial targets on one of the largest Biomass CHP plants in the UK.
There is no better time to join RWE Generation, particularly at our Markinch site. By the end of January 2019, the Glenrothes Energy Network project will be complete, providing sustainable low carbon heat to a mix of properties within Glenrothes and the Fife Housing Complex. This project will secure the future of the Power Plant for the next 20 years.
If you are interested in joining one of the leading power generation companies in Europe, where we value and recognise immensely the contributions of our workforce, then we want to hear from you.
About You
You will have relevant engineering and maintenance experience, ideally with a background in the power generation business. Robust knowledge of industrial scale process plant operations and maintenance, including related standards, codes of practice and technical procedures, are essential.
Why you should apply
As well as a competitive salary, a bonus opportunity up to 15%, private medical care for you and your family and a generous private pension scheme. You'll also get the opportunity to really shape the future of our business. Along the way, we'll give you all the support you need to develop your skill set and achieve your long-term ambitions.
