Company - This company is one of the UK's largest pharmaceutical packaging manufacturers with a reputation for pioneering innovation.

Overview - The machine operator will be expected to work on 12 hour shifts rotating days nights and weekend. Working to their full potential on the production lines directly reporting to their Shift Manager. They must work as part of a team to successfully fulfil production orders accordingly.

Role:

• Ensure machine outputs are maximised at all times
• Root cause production issues and conduct repairs when possible. Work alongside engineers to rectify more technical issues
• To record waste, raw materials and finished goods are recorded correctly per shift
• Responsible for machine changeovers
• To work independently and as part of a team in all aspects of production, maintenance and breakdowns
• Support as much as possible the efficient operation of production lines keeping downtime to a minimum
• Keep work areas tidy following a 'clean as you go' policy
• The machine operator must have a strong level of health & safety awareness
• To consistently promote the health and safety policies of the site
• Follow SOP's for production and cleaning PPM's
• Conduct shift handovers

Requirements:

• The ideal machine operator will have production and/or engineering experience in a fast paced high volume production site
• Must have the capability to work with minimum supervision with their own initiative and as part of a team
• Problem solving ability is a must combined with a mechanical aptitude
• A committed, enthusiastic machine operator with a drive to succeed is wanted
• Attention to detail is also important in order to maintain high quality standards
• Must possess good communication skills and capable of building working relationships
• GCSE educated inclusive of A-C in English & Maths
