Are you a quality engineer looking to join a global leader in their industry who employs over 2000 staff across nine global sites? The groups South Wales plant has an impressive track record of implementing innovative continuous improvement initiatives, and over the past decade, the business has won several prestigious manufacturing business awards.
As the quality engineer, your duties will include:
* Supporting new component development and improvements on existing parts
* Travelling to suppliers as required in line with customer and plant expectation
* Liaising with staff with regards to non-conformance of products
* Providing a clear definition of customer expectation for each project
* Ensure that components meet the defined specifications
* Be involved in continuous improvement projects as and when required
To be a successful quality engineer you will have the following skills and experience:
* Experience within a quality focused role in a manufacturing environment
* A knowledge of a variety of quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, etc.
* Experience of dealing with both customer and supplier quality issues
In return, the quality engineer will receive a salary of GBP28,000 - GBP31,000 (dependent on experience) + pension, healthcare, etc.
