To deliver a high quality customer focused internal recruitment service for DAC Beachcroft LLP, using best practice whilst finding innovative solutions for recruiting the best calibre talent. Build and maintain a strong employer brand for the firm amongst the target populations and utilise good relationship networking and management of third party providers to support the firm's ability to identify and attract the best candidates.
Core responsibilities
• Manage and support the team of 7 (4 Recruitment Advisors, 1 Assistant Advisor and 2 Administrators) to deliver an effective, efficient and customer focused recruitment service to the firm, including offer documentation and screening processes.
• Taking a lead role in the external (lateral) senior hires process including Member/Partner recruitment, working closely with the Practice Director, HR Business Partners and the other HR Operations managers.
• Manage the firm's recruitment brand internally and externally, including managing advertising across third party sites (both online and in print) and managing the content of the firms Applicant Tracking System (CVmail).
• Evaluate and enhance the use of attraction, selection and offer processes including advertising, social media, screening tools, psychometric assessments and electronic offer documentation and signing procedures.
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of current recruitment practice and ensure that policies/procedures are updated in line with best practice and changes in legislation.
• Provide HR Business Partners, Managers and Supervisors with guidance on recruitment strategies and options.
• Coach the Recruitment Advisors in best practice and innovation in recruitment approaches to ensure all channels and options are considered.
• Ensure that job descriptions are accurate and in line with job evaluation processes, ensuring the team liaise with their Business Partner and HR Operations colleagues as appropriate.
• As a member of the HR Operations Leadership team, contribute to overall HR Ops strategy and activities and support for the wider team in delivering to objectives.
• Ensure a strong awareness and knowledge of the industry trends and market conditions to ensure that DAC Beachcroft's attraction methods and processes maximise the potential for attracting and retaining talented and diverse candidates.
• Build an active network of contacts amongst other Legal recruiters.
• Monitor and manage the recruitment spend within allocated budgets and participate fully in the annual budgeting process for recruitment.
• Manage third party suppliers including applicant management system providers, advertising agencies, screening providers, GDL/LPC suppliers and universities.
• Working closely with the Reward Manager to ensure an up to date, accurate and aligned knowledge of the current salary market data and benefits benchmarking.
• Ensure recruitment management information is collated accurately and made available for the HR Operations dashboard and any ad hoc requests.
• Develop and ensure strong working relationships with HR Business Partners and across the HR Operations team.
• Delivery of the early years talent attraction strategy, working closely with the L&D Manager.
Key skills
• Demonstrable previous experience of operating within an in-house recruitment team, ideally within a professional services environment or legal recruitment market.
• High quality knowledge of recruitment best practice and demonstrable experience of implementing strategic approaches to enhancing recruiting effectiveness and delivering solutions that fit the firm's requirements.
• Experience of managing a team is highly desirable.
• Ability to build relationships and influence with credibility at the senior level and all the way through the firm.
• An undergraduate degree or equivalent is desirable, subject passes at A Level or equivalent are required.
• A CIPD qualification, or part qualification, is desirable but not essential.
• BPS qualified to Level A and B desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are vital.
• Proactive and willing to take ownership of tasks and projects.
• Well organised, with the ability to prioritise effectively and deal calmly with the pressure of deadlines and conflicting priorities.
• Solution-orientated with the ability to adopt a commercial perspective to problems.
• Team oriented, flexible and enthusiastic with a positive and committed approach.
• Reliable and able to work on own initiative, with good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

The Human Resources function comprises circa 40 team members across specialist functions including Recruitment, Reward, Employee Relations, HR Service Desk, Learning & Development and the Business Partner team.
