Located just outside Sevenoaks and set within 17acres of beautiful parkland with a lime tree lined driveway, historic yew trees and Victorian gardens the Reynolds Retreat offers the highest quality fitness and thermal spa in the country.

We currently offer Spa day lunches and afternoon tea for all members and guests and cater up to 50 covers in busy periods per day.

Whilst we offer some indulgences, a keen interest in healthy menu options is an advantage to any potential candidate.

As Chef at the Retreat you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen and food orders to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.

  • A motivated and inspired applicant who can manage all aspects of a working kitchen to include impeccable food standards and hygiene;
  • Has a passion for food and a high level of interest in learning and promoting the health benefits of food to our well-being members;
  • Can create simple cost effective menu concepts that suit the health of our customers alongside a few indulgences they can offset;
  • Will work with the health team to incorporate trending foods into menus and smoothies and will alongside them promote the potential health benefits;
  • Can adapt easily to the changing business needs and environments;
  • Has operative and functional knowledge of recipe development, including procurement, costing, and nutrition;
  • Ensures consistency with preparation and timely delivery of quality food;
  • Adheres to safe food handling, proper personal hygiene and sanitation procedures.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage all aspects of the kitchen including operational, quality and administrative duties;
  • Ordering adequate amount of stock to suit the business needs;
  • Recruit, manage, train and develop the kitchen team;
  • Comply with the Reynolds fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation;
  • Ensure maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues are dealt with in a timely manner;
  • Menu planning through seasonal changes;
  • Working with Events to plan menus for conferences, parties, weddings etc.
