Specialist Classroom Support - Halifax

Academics are the longest established education recruitment business in Calderdale, and we're looking for specialist support staff for primary schools. You will have a minimum qualification at level 2 and specialise in either a particular key stage, or have an SEN/behaviour support background. The needs of schools under the supporting remit tend to require a fixed term commitment, particularly within SEN and behaviour support. However, we also run a very successful daily and short term supply model at Academics, which tends to offer more flexibility with bookings.

** One to one behaviour support - Reception to Year 6

** SEN support in Mainstream or SEN settings

** General TA support from EYFS to KS2

If you are support qualified, with either a level 2 equivalent or above, or a degree which is relative to the education of young people, you will be considered. What is key here, is an attitude that is in keeping with working within a primary setting. You will ooze positivity, be ultra 'sparky' and be able to aid the children in an environment that is based upon their learning ethos. If you are happy, smiley, welcoming and a child at heart, then we are very eager to hear from you.

You could be working with a range of children, with varying needs and learning styles. Having an understanding of how children play and learn is essential. You will also be familiar with the tracking of progress and be comfortable with working under the direction of class teachers and Key Stage leaders.
