Director of Finance CAPTION: Job details Posting date: 13 December 2018 Salary: VSM Location: Hillingdon, Uxbridge, UB8 3NN Company: NHS Jobs Job type: Permanent Job reference: 394-508X18 Hours: Full time Apply for this job Summary Director of Finance VSM Secondment Opportunity The Director of Finance is an executive member of the Trust Board who has corporate responsibility for the management and strategic direction of the Trust and specific responsibility for finance, procurement, healthcare contracting, IT and information services, and the Programme Management Office. The post holder will act as the Trust's Senior Information Risk Owner. The post holder will provide direction of financial management of the Foundation Trust, payroll, procurement, IT, information services, healthcare contracting, financial risk, investment appraisal, debts and other financing, compliance with financial covenants, cash flow management, communication of financial issues, commercial opportunities and risks, financial compliance and financial systems development and Trust wide savings programme. You will make sure the financial objectives for the Trust are clearly defined, understood and approved by the Board and fully meet the compliance requirements of the Regulator. Also you will assess current and forecast outcomes of operational strategies and report on financial performance to the board and stakeholders and regulators as appropriate. The Director of Finance will oversee all financial systems and internal controls, including the development and modification of accounting systems when required. Also you will ensure that the Trust's financing profile is effectively managed and that long and short term requirements are satisfied.
