Vichag is one of UK’s rapidly growing IT and Business consulting companies specialising in providing IT consulting and business solutions to Industry and public sector enterprises across UK.

Currently we are looking for an experienced IT Consultant in Open source applications and Automation Testing in complex IT landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and test applications in Open source environment and digital platforms
  • To work in Automation testing environment while delivering Digital IT products.
  • To work with the stakeholders to determine the Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and planning the delivery schedules. 
  • To show proficiency in configuring selenium grid using open source languages such as JavaScript and C#.
  • To provide inputs to the Automation test using SpecFlow, Selenium WebDriver.
  • To define and implement a Test Automation BDD Cucumber Framework using Java.
  • To participate in project reviews, manage high priorities and timely releases of software and code. 
  • To work within Agile development teams and deliver niche IT products within cost, time and quality commitments.

Essential Experience

  • Hands-on experience in Open source applications
  • Proven experience using Java Script and frontend development tools.
  • Working knowledge on Junit and TestNG.
  • Proven experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience working  with performance testing tools such as  JMeter and LoadRunner.
  • Understanding fundamentals of mobile components and layout design for the iOS and Android platforms.

Skill Sets Required

  • To work within multi-skilled agile development teams.
  • In developing Business Definition Documentation and Functional Testing specifications utilising Cucumber and SoapUI. 
  • In implementing, integrating and configuring best-of-breed open source tools.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • To be able to adapt to new technologies and in improving the existing processes.

Education Level / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Master’s Degree Preferred

Travel - Occasionally within UK and abroad
