Teaching Assistant Level 2

£17,007-£19,446 (actual salary £13,242-£15,141) + £1,185 SEN allowance

Start Date: As soon as possible

32.5 hours per week, term time only

Braidwood is a highly successful school for deaf pupils aged between 11 and 18.

We require a qualified, skilled and committed individual to work with our profoundly d/Deaf pupils. It is essential that all applicants already have CACDP British Sign Language Stage II qualification and are fluent BLS users, together with good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.

Recent experience of supporting d/Deaf children and an understanding of d/Deaf culture is essential. An appropriate NVQ2 qualification in supporting pupils learning is also desired but candidates willing to undertake this qualification within an agreed reasonable period will be considered positively.
