Job Description:
The position will cover the entire embedded software design and test lifecycle, involving the design and implementation of software for embedded devices and systems, from requirements gathering through to production and commercial deployment.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of industry sectors as our client and project list is wide and varied.
Qualifications preferred:
Good Honours and/or post graduate qualification in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Physics or Mathematics with relevant Software Engineering component.
Skills/Experience required:
- It is likely that the successful candidate will have acquired sufficient experience for the role through having already spent 2-4 years in industry.
- Candidates should also be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a lively commercial environment and possess good communication, interpersonal and team working skills.
- Equally important is self-motivation and a "can do" attitude.
- The successful candidate will be able to work on their own or within a team and be capable of using their own initiative to seek creative solutions to problems.
- Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellent C/C++ programming skills and show proven ability and hands-on experience in at least two or more of the following areas.
- Real time embedded systems
- Device driver development
- Wireless communications and networking systems, particularly Bluetooth
- ARM processors
- Applicants should be able to demonstrate their current eligibility to work in the UK indefinitely.
