As our new Head of Resourcing you will lead our growing resourcing function through exciting change and organisational expansion. You will work cross functionally and collaboratively to ensure that Sue Ryder achieves an attractive employer branding proposition as well as instigate and deliver new initiatives that continue to improve the resourcing team service delivery.
Other responsibilities include:
Lead the resourcing strategy for retail. healthcare, fundraising and business support recruitment activity
Supporting and creating strategic resource plans with key stakeholders
Project management of multiple work streams including systems improvement and implementation
Continuous improvement of the recruitment service and compliance with recruitment audit recommendations
Continuous development of the team to ensure all direct sourcing opportunities are explored and agency spend is reduced for both permanent and temporary staffing needs
Careers website development
Support workforce planning initiatives across the organisation to include volunteer to paid staff opportunities
To hit the ground running in this instrumental role you will have a solid recruitment background from an in-house environment with previous experience of managing a large team. You’ll be results driven with the ability to build solid relationships and influence at all levels up to senior management.
Experience and Skills
Strategic recruitment experience, workforce planning and employment law knowledge
Full understanding of the recruitment advertising tools including on and offline media including social, direct sourcing including headhunting and third party agency management
Competent project management skills
Previous experience of recruitment and selection training for managers
Experience of managing and developing a team

The Resourcing Team are based in the Sudbury office in Suffolk and travel to this office is required 2-3 times per week as well as travel to our London office and other locations across the UK as and when required.
