Save Save this job Saved Job Description WellChild, based in the centre of Cheltenham, is the national charity for sick children. We fund programmes and services to care for and support children and young people who are living with serious illness or have exceptional health needs. Due to an internal re-organisation, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly organised, innovative and focused individual to join our high-profile and fast-paced organisation, and deliver WellChild's operational and support services. This is a wide-ranging key role working across the organisation to manage activities including business processes, day-to-day finance, governance, ICT, health & safety, data protection and front of house to ensure that WellChild runs smoothly, efficiently and effectively. Senior management experience in a similar role is essential and knowledge of the charity sector would be an advantage. The successful candidate will have outstanding people management and natural leadership skills. Adaptability, excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills, and the ability to balance a fast-paced workload with clear forward planning and an eye for detail is vital. A passion for improving operational effectiveness coupled with a talent for identifying and maximising opportunities and developing and implementing new ideas alongside robust processes and procedures is crucial. As this is a Senior Management Team position reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will also be experienced in working as part of a successful and progressive leadership team and have the ability to build and maintain relationships and trust quickly and effectively. This post is based in Cheltenham but will involve some travel throughout the UK. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religious belief, sexual orientation or age. Previous applicants are politely requested not to reapply.
