The Client

The Together Housing Group is currently enjoying a period of growth, with every single service we offer expanding compared to just 12 months ago. To support our service delivery plans we are looking for a new delivery surveyor to join our experienced Asset Delivery team. The role will be based out of Halifax, West Yorkshire. You will need to have fantastic existing surveying skills, as you will be carrying out design, supervision and contract administration for a wide range of services.

The Role

This could include planned maintenance, housing and stock refurbishment as well as new build housing projects for the Company’s housing stock. As part of these contracts you will also be required to supervise contractors to ensure projects are completed in accordance with the specifications, including budget & timing.

You will need to assist in assessing the contract maintenance requirements across the group, and to help manage and ensure maintenance of communal works as required across the Group.

A key part of the role will be to prepare drawings and specifications for planned maintenance, housing refurbishment works, disabled adaptations and new build housing projects, as well as preparing tender documents for defined works.

In order to fulfil this role, you will require the following key skills, knowledge & experience:

You will need proven experience of the delivery of various Investment Programmes both on time and within budget

You should be able to demonstrate experience of working within a financial framework

You will require Knowledge of current building policy & practice both, including;

  • Decent Homes Standard
  • Housing Health & Safety Regulations
  • Asbestos Regulations

You will require the ability to produce written reports and presentations that can present complex data and analysis into an accessible way to ensure buy in from a wide range of audiences

The ideal candidate will also hold a relevant construction industry qualification

Due to the nature of the role, a full driving license is required with access to a vehicle insured for business use
