The Company:  

GK Apprenticeships is recruiting on behalf of Arqiva, a leading UK communications infrastructure company enabling a vibrant digital economy.  

As an independent provider of telecom towers, Arqiva manage around 8,000 active licensed sites, and are the only national provider of terrestrial television and radio broadcasting.  

Now, Arqiva are looking for an Apprentice Site Access Co-ordinator to join them and embark on a two year apprenticeship programme starting in September 2019.

Your apprenticeship will combine a formal education with on-the-job training, as well as guidance from local mentors. You’ll be given all the support you need to gain your Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship qualification.

What’s more, once you’ve completed your apprenticeship programme, you’ll have the chance to progress into roles within Arqiva’s Site Access Team, making this the ideal role in which to carve out a rewarding career. 

The Role:

As an Apprentice Site Access Co-ordinator, you’ll learn how to operate Arqiva’s site access booking system, which gives employees, external contractors and visitors access to sites. 

In this varied apprenticeship, you’ll gain exposure to fast-paced work environments and will have the chance to increase your organisational, time-management and prioritisation skills. 

Your duties will involve: 

- Issuing access permits 
- Responding to incoming service calls and email queries 
- Accurately inputting data into the system 
- Helping to resolve any problems 

About You:

To join Arqiva as an Apprentice Site Access Co-ordinator, you will need:

- GCSEs (or Scottish equivalent or 2017 standard grades 9-4) at Grade C or above, including Maths and English 
- Good IT skills 

Other organisations may call this role Apprentice Business Support Administrator, Trainee Site Access Administrator, Junior Admin Clerk, Apprentice Business Support Co-ordinator, Trainee Business Support Officer, Trainee Services Co-ordinator or Trainee Administrator. 

Please note, this is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week. Arqiva provides a 24/7 service to customers, so you may need to take part in an on-call rota, covering nights and weekends.
