B3Living is the largest independent housing association in the Borough of Broxbourne, providing over 4,600 homes across Hertfordshire and Essex. Our mission is to build a range of homes for social rent, private rent and shared ownership to counteract the local housing crisis and shortage of homes in our area.

We are currently looking for an Independent Living Officer to provide a customer focused, efficient and progressive Independent Living Service, ensuring that the environment for our customers is safe and secure and promotes independence.

You ll be accountable for the day-to-day provision of the Independent Living Service, working to Health and Safety legislation and ensuring appropriate monitoring is in place. Proactive in your approach, you will respond to resident enquiries and complaints within timescales and role-model a culture of excellent customer service delivery.

Further to this, you’ll action housing applications and transfers with potential or existing tenants, ensuring that flexi care assessments are carried out and presented at flexi care panel meetings in line with the allocations and letting policy on flexi care housing.

We are looking for a self-motivated, determined individual who has good time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands. Ideally, you will hold a supported housing qualification and have previous experience in housing. Previous experience of managing a caseload of vulnerable adults with support needs is essential. This post requires a driving licence and use of own car for business purposes.

This role is open to flexible working arrangements. We offer a competitive benefits package including generous leave entitlements and a personal pension scheme. We believe in the benefits of a diverse workforce and strongly welcome applications from those currently under-represented in the organisation, including LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people, people with disabilities and people from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.

Closing date: 13th January 2019.
