We are looking for a talented charity development professional, with a strong track record in relationship building and successful fundraising. Our company are rapidly evolving and growing as a specialist homelessness housing organisation, so you'd be joining us at a brilliant time to launch our new Foundation. You will realise our vision by possessing the right skills, experience, and passion for this specialised role. We are looking to make an important and meaningful positive difference to the lives of those in the communities who we support and work with.

Responsible for: In this role you will be providing business intelligence to support the growth plan of the Foundation. You will be using your experience and insight to inform planning; seek commissioning, procuring and funding opportunities that will help implement a range of services to maximise both income and engagement of vulnerable individuals for the Paramount Foundation.

Job purpose: An opportunity to lead, develop and put into practice your skills in a rewarding and challenging environment. We will be aiming to provide fun, educational and specialised activities and services for the children of families currently residing in our temporary accommodation across Kent. Specific Duties:

  • Lead on the creation and development of the Foundation
  • Research, develop and maintain new relationships to secure fundraising opportunities
  • Write tailored, inspirational applications and project reports to access grant-making priorities or fund raising
  • Develop and implement the PR strategy plan for the growth of the business
  • Evaluate, monitor and report back to Paramount Senior Management Team in a timely fashion on projects which have been funded/delivered
  • Co-ordinate the development and delivery of all projects, activities and events required to deliver the Foundation success
  • Develop and maintain quality relationships with delivery partners, including members and funders
  • Manage contracts, review expenditure

Duties in common with other members of the team:

  • To be an ambassador for Paramount, both internally & externally, to further our aims whilst protecting and enhancing our reputation
  • To undertake any other reasonable duty that may be required from time to time

Person Specification

  • Experience working for a not-for-profit organisation carrying out a similar role
  • Experience of writing successful fundraising applications to foundations and charitable trusts
  • Experience of developing income from trusts, foundations and grant-giving bodies
  • Experience of developing and implementing a trust fundraising programme, including acquisition, retention and development
  • Ability to write compelling and innovative proposals and funding reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences
  • Demonstrable ability to develop relationships with grant-making organisations
  • A track record of project and contract management experience
  • Experience with drafting management information reports
  • Develop public relations strategies, social media and marketing plans, and implement them with confidence
  • Experience of motivating and leading teams
  • Experience of managing relationships with external agencies
  • Understanding of principles of Advocacy, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritise a complex workload
  • Ability to manage change and lead people through change
  • IT skills - a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
