Job description
Proskauer Rose (UK) LLP is seeking common law qualified Funds Associates with post qualification experience to join its expanding team.

The Funds Associates’ specific areas of responsibility will include advising in relation to the establishment of private investment funds and negotiation of limited partnership agreements, carried interest documentation and associated ancillary documents as well as managing closing processes.

Successful candidates will be expected to liaise closely with colleagues, clients, counterparties and other advisers, including in connection with multi-jurisdictional transactions where they will be required coordinate with overseas counsel and other specialist practice areas.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
Applicants must have a strong academic record at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and be qualified as a solicitor or attorney (or equivalent) in a common law jurisdiction.

Applicants must have applicable and demonstrable legal experience of advising on investment funds gained in another major law firm or other relevant business environment. Applicants should also have experience of advising entities, making investment into private investment funds and, ideally, have had some exposure to the secondary funds market.

Further, applicants must possess analytical skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, be well organised and meet deadlines. Candidates must be self-motivated, able to take the lead in dealing with clients and on transactions with an innovative approach to solving problems and be team players. Candidates are expected to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

Ideally, candidates will have some experience of advising in funds.
