Post: Connecting Yardley Community Development Worker
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Salary: NJC SCP 28 - 30 – currently £25,463 to £27,358
Contract Terms: Fixed Term until 31/01/2020

The Connecting Yardley programme is a partnership project between DRC and Age UK Birmingham. Its purpose is to inject community investment to build the capacity of local organisations and groups to become better placed to support residents who are / are at risk of becoming lonely or isolated. This includes older and disabled people but not exclusively so.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven candidate to provide capacity building and infrastructure support services to community organisations and groups in order to build the local community offer in the Yardley Constituency.
Ideally we are looking for someone who has a wealth of experience in community development work with excellent communication skills, who can make this role their own and meet the required targets.
