Rawleigh House is a small residential care home in Sherborne registered to provide accommodation for 6, but currently 5 older adults, with learning disabilities and physical health needs.
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced part time Registered Manager to work closely with the Deputy Manager and team of Support Workers to provide personalised support to help people achieve their full potential.
Due to the small size of the service, the position is currently advertised for 20 hours per week and the salary shown will be pro-rata.
The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification in Social Care with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in relevant field, be eligible for registration as a Registered Manager with CQC with a relevant Management Qualification (or willingness to undertake).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Commitment to a human needs approach to service user support
minimum of 2 years working in managerial/supervisory capacity
Sound knowledge of Regulatory and Contractual standards and requirements
Experience in working with people with learning disabilities, with ability to undertake robust assessment of need, and plan, implement packages of support
Flexibility
An ability to work independently with well-developed interpersonal skills, self-reliance and initiative
Sound problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to undertake all appropriate training
Mature attitude with good sense of humour
Registration with CQC as Registered Manager
Flexibility essential
