WM Housing Group is one of the largest and most successful housing groups in the Midlands providing around 30,000 homes with a turnover of £150 million per year. We want everything we do to help achieve our vision of ‘Creating places where people are proud to live and work’ and to put our customers and employees at the very heart of this delivery.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a positive and proactive leader to join us in the role of Head of Income Services. Within this pivotal role, you will lead, manage and develop the income collection and money advice service in all aspects to ensure that target levels of performance are met.

This will involve ensuring that due income is collected from Group tenants, leaseholders and freeholders and that an effective money advice service is provided to support customers in financial difficulty.

You’ll make a positive contribution to Group improvement initiatives; working collaboratively to identify, implement and support changes to improve collection performance, improve the service for customers and reduce cost.

We are looking for a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) and competent leader with detailed knowledge of income related legislation and best practice to make this challenging role a success.

With a solid understanding of different approaches to income collection within social housing and/or related sectors, you will have experience of managing a high performing and best practice customer income collection service. You will be able to demonstrate effective budget management alongside the ability to communicate complex financial issues at all levels.
