Job Description Position: IT Cyber Security Engineer (IPS/IDS, Cloud)
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire
Salary: GBP45,000-GBP55,000 + Benefits
About the role
Exciting opportunity for career recognition and progression within one of the UK's largest software services providers! This is a hands-on role in which you will be required to help build out and define the IT Security for this company's hosted operation. You will be the technical security subject matter expert and ensure that the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information systems are maintained to protect customer, corporate and 3rd party data. You will be responsible for the risk assessment of the company's systems and solution in addition to the maintenance of a secure infrastructure.
Key Skills
In depth understanding of the technical aspects of Information Security
Strong knowledge of IT Cyber Security, IPS/IDS and Cyber Security Essentials
Knowledge of IT security principals, techniques and technologies
Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
Knowledge of MS Windows Server security administration
A proven track record of maintaining security in a business-critical environment
Experience in penetration testing of software products
Experience in performing vulnerability scans
Experience in securing cloud based infrastructure
