Lecturer in Public Services

Part Time: 31.5 hours per week

Our Client offers a variety of courses to students 14 -16, 16-18 and adults as well as those studying in Higher Education.

They have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Public Services to join their team, based at their Harrogate site on a permanent, part time basis. Within the role you will work 31.5 hours per week.

The post holder will work primarily with students engaged across a range of courses providing a high level of support needed to achieve their programme of study.

The role will require knowledge and understanding of crime and the legal system, government policies in relation to the public services, discipline, employment in the public services, and civil law in business. 

The successful candidate will need to be innovative in their teaching methods. The position requires flexibility, enthusiasm and most importantly a commitment to the student journey as you will deliver high quality teaching and learning to students of all ages and abilities. 

Having the ability to inspire learners is essential as well as being able to work as part of a well-established team of professionals. A Post graduate Teaching or Education Qualification or Certificate in Education is not essential however, you must be willing to work towards a teaching qualification.

Candidates will need to have a subject specialism qualification, ideally to Level 3 or Level 4.
