Temporary Cover Supervisor

1265 hours per annum: term time & staff training days

Grade D: £14041 per annum

Required as soon as possible, we are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join the team providing cover in lessons across the Academy in our new school building. The successful candidate will provide cover in PE, and other subjects as required.  We are looking for someone with PE expertise and an aptitude for the subject.

The successful candidate will supervise whole classes when teachers are absent, and assist pupils undertaking set activities in the class.  Cover Supervisors are not qualified teachers but should have proven experience of working with children in a learning environment, and should have a good working knowledge of basic IT such as Word and Powerpoint. They work under the guidance of appropriate staff.

The post is temporary to cover a period of secondment until July 2019.

The Academy has recently been inspected by both SIAMS and OFSTED and received Good in both inspections.  The Academy has a dynamic leadership team across both senior and middle leaders, and professional development opportunities for all our staff.
