The responsibilities of the Quality Manager will be as follows;
* To take ownership for all Quality Management processes and procedures across all areas
* Work with the design engineering team throughout each stage of product development
* Implement and oversee effective Design for Manufacturing processes
* Ensure manufacturing process capability / continuous improvement across all areas of production
* Lead, Coach and mentor the Quality Engineering function in problem solving / continuous improvement
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional units to instil a culture of Customer Excellence
To fulfil these responsibilities, the Quality Manager would have the following skills / experience;
* Degree qualified, HNC/HND qualified or equivalent experience
* Electro-Mechanical engineering and product assembly background
* Proven background in Operational Excellence methods and using them to drive sustainable behavioural / cultural change and ongoing improvements
* Have a demonstrable background of using 8D, FMEA, Six-Sigma, SPC, Taguchi, DOE etc
* Ability to lead, coach, mentor and empower individuals, teams and collective groups to embrace improvement strategies
* Excellent communication & IT skills
