Do you have administration experience and want to make a difference in a charitable organisation that supports individuals with a learning disability?

Hft is a national charity that's been supporting people with learning disabilities since 1962. We provide learning disability services to more than 2,500 people. We put the people we support at the centre of everything we do and provide a range of services including residential care, day opportunities, to supported living at home.

Position: Administrative Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Contract: Temporary contract for 12 months or until the substantive post holder returns
Location: London
Hours: Part-time 30 hours per week
Salary: GBP18,340 pro rata (GBP9.38 p/h) rising to GBP19,513 pro rata (GBP9.98 p/h) upon successful completion of probationary period

About the role:

Hft London requires an Administrative Assistant to provide cover for the support in the management of the finance and administrative systems of the Service.

You will also be involved in dealing with incoming calls, typing, general administration duties, minute taking, data entry and supporting our services to maintain the various computerised systems and databases.

About you:

You will need the ability to communicate and record effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing. You will also need to be able to establish relationships with, communicate and listen to a wide range of individuals including staff, the people we support, families, suppliers, members of the public and other professionals.

IT skills are essential; you will need a demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Office with experience of using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Full training of Hft's computerised systems will be provided to the successful applicant.
