Scottish Autism is a leading not-for-profit organisation that is committed to empowering and supporting people with autism. We currently have a part time opportunity for an Autism Practitioner within our Housing Support Service in Edinburgh.

As an Autism Practitioner, you will be tasked with providing care, education and support to individuals with autism in Lothian.
The ideal candidate should have experience in the autism field, have great communication skills and be able to manage challenging behaviours.
Supporting and working with people of all ages, you’ll design, implement and review person-centred support plans. Taking on each and every challenge with enthusiasm and passion, you’ll help to identify difficulties and provide future opportunities, whilst promoting independent and inclusive living within the local community.
Interested? To be considered for this role, you must have, or be willing to work towards achieving a social services and healthcare qualification, such as an SVQ Level 3.
As an Autism Practitioner, you must have effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an empathetic, patient and caring approach.
Familiarity with Microsoft packages, such as Word and Excel, would be beneficial to your application, as would a full driving licence.
Sleepover duty is essential for this post.
Rota pattern would be back shift 4pm-11pm (sleepover 11pm – 7am) 7am-4pm.
