Job description
Peloton's test engineering team is looking for an experienced Test Lead to drive Peloton’s international expansion.
Key responsibilities
Responsibilities of the role include:
- defining and executing the test strategy for Peloton international testing including Peloton Hardware as well as Digital experiences;
- troubleshooting “on the ground” issues reported through our International support channels;
- working with remote engineers and testing staff across Peloton sites to debug and isolate issues;
- working with engineers and product managers to create, implement, and improve testing approaches for our web, mobile and API products;
- architecting and implementing scalable tools, infrastructure, and test frameworks that help engineers develop, test, debug, and release;
- supervising direct or indirect staff involved in the testing and integration process;
- helping in write backend, integration, and API tests;
- helping in driving adoption of best practices in testing and maintainability;
- helping in mentoring and coaching; and
- advocating for software development best practices (CI, testing, UX, responsive design, etc).
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:
- significant developing automation frameworks and tooling tests for mobile and web platforms;
- significant hands on experience delivering automation based on frameworks such as Appium, Espresso and/or Selenium;
- strong programming skills obtained through a degree or equivalent experience;
- relevant experience with one or more programming languages including but not limited to: Java (3+ years) and/or JavaScript (2 years);
- prior experience coordinating test and integration work across multiple sites/regions is required;
- relevant experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and provisioning (Chef) is an added bonus; and
- hands-on experience testing a multimedia (audio/video based) streaming systems is required.
