Product Controller x3 Multiple Products, IPV, London 6 months

Tier One Investment Bank is looking at appoint 3 Product Controllers into its Team on a Contract basis, the roles will cover a broad range of products and skills including Valuations, PnL production and balance sheet reconciliations. You will ideally hold a formal accounting qualification

The Candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of different functions within the various EMEA Business Finance and control teams. The Tasks will range from oversight of the Outsource BAU Product Control functions, production Finance Tasks, and assisting Senior members in the team with Projects. The Finance tasks will consist of IPV, disclosures, and PnL and Balance Sheet analysis.

The Candidate should have strong communication skills and technical understanding of product control and finance. Ideally the candidate will be interfacing with people in and outside of our department.

Responsibilities may include:

• Review of Daily PnL and adjustments performed by Offshore Team
• Prepare Daily MIS reports for Managers of the EMEA Repo Finance
• Prepare Daily/Weekly/Monthly PnL commentary
• Produce Repo Desk IPV, including Repo, Swaps, Futures and Bond products
• Produce BS usage Commentary
• Prepare management packs for weekly and monthly project prioritization meetings
• Produce Quarterly Disclosures
• Manage Ad-Hoc requests from Corporate reporting, Front Office, and Senior Management

Required Skills:

• Product control experience with an understanding of the appropriate controls
• Knowledge of FICC products.
• Strong analytical skills; problem solving (error detection, root cause analysis, error correction), conceptual, analytical, and decision making skills.
• Advanced Excel, Access or SQL skills. Ability to extract and profile data and work in database environments.
• Attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple conflicting priorities.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of Volker, Var Back Testing, Regulation W, and Statutory Accounting.
• Experience co-coordinating with the trading desk/operations/finance/mkt risk/counterparty credit.
